I ended up having a nice stay over the three nights, and the next days the woman was friendly, as was her husband. The first welcome, though, was bad enough that I’d have given zero stars if I could. She asked 500bath for a small room without breakfast, with the toilet and bathroom shared by all the guests. The men's toilet wouldn't even lock. When I politely said it was too much, she just said, “bye bye.” I went back to my motorbike ready to leave, then she came over and offered 350bath. I know Thailand and what prices are like, and for this location and setup 350bath was still a little high, but acceptable, so I stayed as planned. I don't know what was up with her that first day, maybe she had her period. After that, things were good.

The room was pretty and clean, and I liked the retro decor. The hosts were friendly, and the weekend market is right there. I stayed one night.

A quiet, family-run hostel on Kad Kong Ta street, with plenty of privacy and no crowd. It’s convenient, clean, and works well for solo travelers without feeling isolated. The bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way, though a rubber band can hold it in place. Shampoo and towels are supplied. Good value, and I’d stay again when I’m in Lampang.

My quiet solo trip got off to a lovely start here. Two elderly gentlemen took good care of me, waking me in the morning and bringing a bowl of porridge. In the daylight, the old wooden floors creaking in the sun were charming. (I could stand to lose some weight.) I stayed in the main building, as the yard bungalows have lots of bugs. They cleaned the air conditioners in each room while I was there and even gave me lunch to say thanks, haha. It’s a nice place to experience the feel of an old Thai home.

The owner was really friendly, and the place felt calm and private, good for couples. The room itself was great, clean and tidy, with all the amenities.
