One Budget Hotel Lampang Phahonyothin

The busy road was noticeable, but what stayed with me was being charged 300 THB for a few drops of blood on the sheets after an insect bit me. They called it a cleaning cost. In nearly 40 years of booking rooms, I’ve never had an extra charge like that, and I’m still bothered by it four weeks later. I left disappointed, though I guess they need the money. Best of luck with my 300 THB. I’ll book elsewhere next time.

The bed was too hard for me, so I slept uncomfortably. There was also a noisy family next door, with children shouting until 10pm and starting again at 6am. That’s not the hotel’s fault, but I’ve run into this more than once here, and the parents didn’t seem to consider other guests. The hotel itself is decent for a budget stay and very clean, though the rooms are quite small. It’s easy to find and handy for getting into or out of Lampang. There’s nothing nearby for food, so we drove about 7 minutes to the central shopping centre. Check-in was straightforward and the staff were helpful.

After a long drive, this is a good clean place to sleep.

Check-in on June 1st was a nightmare. The receptionist looked at my passport and stared at me as if I were a thief. She was hostile and extremely rude. Don’t stay here if you don’t want staff to ruin your vacation. Paying for a room was a complete waste of money. The worst hospitality ever. 👎👎👎👎
