Doi Tung Lodge

We hardly saw any other guests, and the whole area was wonderfully quiet, especially at night. The staff were attentive and helpful, and breakfast had more choice than we expected. The room was comfortable too. Some might find the lodge's design old-fashioned, but knowing its age, I found it cozy and charming. Being so close to the Royal Villa, palace gardens, and Doi Tung Temple made our visit easy. We arrived in the afternoon and went to the temple, stayed overnight, then visited the palace and gardens after checking out the next morning before driving back down the mountain. It meant we could see everything without rushing up and down. There isn't much to do nearby beyond unwinding and enjoying the quiet, which suited us. We were very happy with our stay and the hospitality.

The views were incredible, and the remote setting made for a really peaceful stay. The staff were lovely and always ready to help. Breakfast was simple but good. We had a great time and would recommend it. We’ll be back!

The room was finished with quality materials, including real wood paneling. There was a Samsung TV that looked about 50 inches, with over 30 channels, and the shower worked very well. The bed was firm. The hotel faces the sunrise, while huge trees block the sunset, as in my picture. I couldn't find anything to fault with the room, and had a very satisfying stay.

The room was in very good condition, even though the outside looked a little run down. Mae Fah Luang Foundation operates the lodge, which is within easy reach of Mae Fah Luang Mansion and the garden. We had a wonderful time here!
