We stayed in room #3 for 400 baht and found it very good value. The beds were neatly made and comfortable, and the spacious bathroom had perfectly working hot water. A restaurant is right next to the guest house, and the lake is a two-minute walk away. We'd highly recommend it for budget travelers.

The place is fairly run down, though clean. It's well located near the night market on the main street at the northwestern tip of the Jong Kum lake. Since it's right along the main thoroughfare, there can be noise until late evening.

A good choice on a budget, right by the lake and a stone's throw from the town's best restaurants and a 7-Eleven. The cleanliness could be better, though.

For 400 baht, including air conditioning, the price was good. It’s only a few steps from the lake, though there are lots of other places to stay nearby. The room was fairly clean and tidy, but the bedding felt a little old. The bathroom was small.

Kiang Doi is still a good choice, and the two guesthouses are only a few meters apart. The manager is around and very responsive, though the other staff less so, and they don’t speak English. Rooms differ in quality, so ask to look first. The second guesthouse seemed more comfortable. The location is very convenient.
