The staff were helpful, but management doesn’t seem to put enough into the service. The bed was hard as a plank, the old blankets and pillows smelled rotten, and the room had a bad odor. Water pressure was extremely low. Nothing about the stay was good.

For just 500 baht a night, you get a clean, private room with parking right beside it. Coffee is provided in the morning, too.

The single rooms come with private parking and a roof for shelter from sun and rain. Inside, there’s air conditioning, a TV, refrigerator, and hot water, and the rooms are private and a good size. They’re on the way into Chiang Rai city. The shophouses are cheaper and are beside a PTT gas station and a 7-Eleven, so it’s easy to find food. Drive back toward the Chiang Mai intersection for plenty of local restaurants to choose from.

At 500 baht a night, I still had to take cold showers because there was no hot water. I caught a cold the next day.

The room may be old, but it was clean and didn’t smell musty. For 500, it was okay just for sleeping.
