Baan Canna Country Resort

We spent 3 days and 2 nights here on our first short holiday, and the surroundings felt cool and refreshing. Our classic standard room for two was clean and roomy, with a patio looking toward the swimming pool. Parking was free. Breakfast had only four choices, but they were really tasty, with different breads and fruit as well. Lots of flower farms are nearby, about a 10-minute drive away.

The villas were roomy, clean, and comfortable, with good airflow and bedding and pillows that made for a long, restful sleep after many days in transit. The service was fantastic and the staff were friendly, thank you! It's a peaceful spot on Chiang Mai's far outskirts, with a stream flowing through the property. I'd recommend the Deluxe Villa if you want to be near the water and feel surrounded by nature. For meals, Grab delivery for lunch and dinner was easy enough, or there's a quiet, tasty, reasonably priced restaurant a short walk away at a nearby resort. The suburb also has plenty of very local food and alcohol options, within cycling distance or a short Grab ride. The big fridge and ample outdoor balcony space were handy for keeping drinks and snacks in our own private area.

We stayed just one night at Pak Ram Pak Ram, and missed it as soon as we drove away. It's a small boutique hotel far enough from town to be peaceful, but not such a long drive. We had a deluxe villa, and the room was lovely and clean, with comfortable beds, a big bathroom with both a tub and shower, and a great private outdoor sitting area. Check-in was easy. Breakfast was very good, with eggs made to order, porridge, and fresh fruit. There's so much to like here. We'd recommend it 10/10 and are already planning another stay.

It's a small resort in a residential neighborhood, very quiet, and you can hear birds in the morning. Getting a Grab or Bolt from the city center to the hotel was easy. Leaving was trickier, especially early or late in the day, and we got stuck a few times. Tai at the hotel was very helpful and found alternatives for us. The room was clean and decent, with a mosquito net over the bed, though we didn't see any mosquitoes inside. My only annoyance was having the tea and coffee setup next to the open toilet area. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with a few set choices, plus ready-to-eat pastries and fruit. There's no lunch or dinner at the hotel, and the nearest restaurant is at another hotel a few minutes' walk away. Grabfood is another option.
