The breakfast was the main downside: there were lots of flies around the food. The bathroom is clean and usable, but could do with an upgrade and isn’t at a premium hotel standard. It still worked fine and didn’t affect my stay too much. I found it easy and convenient to order food and mookata by scanning. The view at MonView Ngarn was the highlight, and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. I had a relaxing time here. Thanks, MonView Ngarn!

Monview ngarm turned out to be a great experience, with excellent rooms, service, and atmosphere. We were a family of six, and my niece was seven months pregnant. Agoda had shown room photos, but I’d accidentally booked a standard tent, so we asked whether a room might be available even though the place was nearly full. A kind staff member switched us to a two-room villa and charged the Agoda tent price toward the villa rental. That was extremely generous. He helped with everything, including food and the room, found an extra pillow, arranged and translated with a driver for our trip back to Chiang Mai, and pointed out some tour attractions in monjam.

The service was bad throughout, and the prices were extortionate, even for a tourist trap. The so-called “family house” was just two separate bedrooms next door to each other. There was no usable Wi-Fi. The shower had a warning not to use it too long because of the risk of gas fumes poisoning you. The only kitchen item was a kettle, but its plug couldn’t reach an outlet. The experience was so awful that I left before using one of the nights I’d booked. I don’t recommend it.

We had a good view and enjoyed the stay, though the nearby tent made things a little noisy. There were three of us, my husband, my sister, and me, staying one night. The hot water stopped working that evening, so I called reception. They fixed it, but by morning there was only cold water.
