Even with the rain, our stay in the VIP dome has been great. The Mookata we had for dinner tasted amazing, and its warm broth was just right for the chilly weather. The people here have also been so welcoming and kind. A lovely start to our Chiang Mai trip.

I booked here before the flooding and mudslides hit the Chiang Mai area. I'm sorry for the hardship they've caused people locally, but I tried to cancel because I didn't want to risk being in a dangerous area, especially if a mudslide had covered the road I needed to drive on. They refused to refund my money. I paid for the chance to leave this review, but never actually stayed. Don't stay here unless you're willing to take the risk that they won't return your money, whatever happens. Find somewhere else.

The regular domes have just the bare necessities, and we wished there had been two VIP domes so our friends could stay in one too. We booked a VIP dome ourselves and it looked great inside and out. Even with the rain, we had a great time sharing hot pot with friends on our deck. The garden is well kept and has some lovely spots for photos. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

If you have some free time, it's a nice garden to visit and take pictures in. There are several good photo spots, and the 20 THB per person entry fee seemed reasonable, especially since you can borrow Thai's northern style cloth for photos. I only toured the garden and didn't stay overnight. Some parts are quite worn, though, and it isn't very large.
