Ruen Ariya Resort (Chiang Mai).

The location is a real plus for driving to places like queens sirikit botanical gardens and Mon jam, and the bed was comfortable, the room spacious, with a pleasant little garden view. The hotel is nice, though quite old. Unfortunately, the bathroom smelled of pee, and they tried to cover it with a terrible essential oil burner instead of cleaning it. It reminded me of a Victorian-era public bathroom. Breakfast was forgettable, and the coffee was terrible: they served instant with the included breakfast, although “real” coffee was available on the menu. I booked last minute, otherwise I probably would have stayed somewhere else nearby. At this price, I wouldn’t recommend it.

A good-priced, pet-friendly resort that let us bring four dogs at no extra cost. The breakfast was excellent, and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I recommend this place.

The staff were very courteous, and the grounds were nice. The room was clean and pleasant, and the pool was clean too. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

A really relaxing place, especially for families.
