U Maerim Chiangmai

We got good value for the price, and the free breakfast was really tasty. The views were lovely, and the staff were helpful with transportation. There were cute animals too, including a miniature horse and lots of goats. Since the place was empty, it felt like we had it to ourselves. The downside was the condition of the property. It seemed run-down, and the pool wasn’t clean enough for us to swim with our 7-year-old niece. Getting there was also difficult because Grab doesn’t go that far. We had to walk about 30 minutes to get out, past a lot of barking dogs. For the price, it wasn’t bad, but I wish it were better maintained.

It’s a beautiful spot, a little remote, and a good fit if you want to rest away from the busy city. The rooms were clean and cozy, and the staff were kind and around whenever we needed them. Breakfast was especially good. I really recommend staying here.

We were well looked after from the moment we arrived, and we had no complaints. The view, atmosphere, and surroundings made this a lucky find. The resort has clearly had to weather tough times after Covid, and it may take a few good seasons for places like this to recover. Many nearby resorts had closed, so we were glad to find this one still going. There were goats, peacocks, swans, and miniature horses wandering around, which was adorable. The food just across the road at view Doi was great too. Come breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the beauty for a break from everyday stress. We’ll be back, and I can’t wait!

The staff were professional and very polite, and the natural setting is beautiful. It’s not far from Chiang Mai, but still quiet and away from the city. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place.
