We were worried about the drive because someone had said the slope by the road was dangerous, but it turned out to be manageable. The video shows the road. We arrived at sunset, and the view from the lobby was beautiful, even better than from our room. The room was cozy, and the food was decent compared with the nearby hotel we’d stayed at before. Breakfast was quite good, but dinner had few choices, so we went with sukiyaki. It was so cold outside that the pot took ages to boil. Once it finally did, I added ingredients and it stopped boiling again. We were freezing and wanted something warm quickly, but in the end we put the food in and let it sit, hoping it would cook through. Being in the countryside meant lots of insects despite it being only 13-15 degrees. There were dead bugs on the bedsheet, and I saw them falling from the light cable, so we moved the bed to keep ants from dropping on us. I only found out later that there was a welcome snack in the room. We were freezing at night, so I asked for a heater. The staff member came with us and showed us the heated mattress under the sheet. It was a safer solution, but I wish they’d told us about it earlier.

We liked it so much that we added another night. The mountain views are breathtaking, and to me it’s the best place to stay in the Doi Chang Mountains. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and being there felt like being with a nice family. They provide breakfast and dinner. In the evening, you can ask for marshmallows and sweet potatoes to cook over a bonfire. During dinner, staff turn off all the lights so guests can spend time stargazing. I’d definitely return. Don’t forget to tip the staff! Photos show sunset from the balcony.

We especially liked the quiet late afternoons, and found the stay peaceful and relaxing. The room was comfortable, the food was better than we expected, and the staff were consistently kind and attentive. A lovely place to slow down and spend time with family or someone you love.

The food was a real highlight: breakfast was included, with generous portions and plenty of choice, and the BBQ dinner was great with that mountain view. They welcomed me with tea and lots of sweets, and the staff were sweet and helpful, though a little shy. Up in the Doi Chang mountains, the view from the room is incredible, like waking up in a dream. Everything was clean and stylish, with lots of thoughtful little details. The balcony bathtub is a lovely touch. It’s a great place for a romantic trip or a peaceful break together. I came alone this time and felt a little lonely, though I was also completely relaxed. I’d love to come back with someone next time.

I loved this short stay. The staff were attentive and proactive, and there was always plenty of food at both breakfast and dinner. The room was great, the aircon was strong, and the water heater worked right away. Bugs come with being outside the city, so bring repellent spray. All our needs were met, and I’d definitely consider returning. I’d recommend it if you want some quiet, private time away from city life. I wouldn’t recommend bringing young kids, since they might get bored and the unfenced platform could be dangerous. Last thing, I want to thank the service staff for their impeccable service 😀
