Phumontra Resort Nakhon Nayok

The river is beautiful, and the resort is such a peaceful spot. Good food and cold beers too 🍻❄️. Everyone was super friendly. A shout-out to housekeeping, the bar and bistro teams, and the chefs. Waitress “WHY “ is amazing ❤️ 🍻💌.

The stream right beside the place is lovely for unwinding and dipping your feet, and there’s a big pool plus a separate one for kids. You can go cycling too, and parking is available. Our room was spacious and clean, with strong hot water; the kitchen had a microwave, dishes, and utensils. The staff were polite and kind, and the café welcomed us with a warm drink.

The canal-side location is great, and the room was okay. There were termite droppings from the ceiling on the bed, though, and the bathroom drain didn’t work properly. Bird droppings covered the balcony; it’d be nice if they cleaned it more often. Still, it was okay overall.

We had dinner at the bistro and enjoyed it. We got pork and salmon steaks, and when it started raining we moved inside, where the air conditioning was pretty cool. They were out of white wine, so we had an Italian red instead. It actually went surprisingly well with both dishes, and the meal was excellent. The room was satisfying: fairly roomy, clean and maintained, although you can see some wear. The air conditioning worked, and the minibar had two free bottles of water. Only local TV channels were available. The bathroom smelled a little sandy at first, but that went away. The welcome lychee drink was fantastic, and by the river I also had a beer and a large, tasty club sandwich. Service was warm and friendly. You can swim in either the river or the pool, and both were working well. The shower is tucked away discreetly in the room 🙂.
