AisanA Hotel Korat

This was our last stay. I won't book here again unless they invite me back after fixing these things. I don't like leaving a bad review, but I want to be honest about our visit from 08/10 to 10/10. The hotel should be three stars, but I don't think it earns that rating. I could post plenty of photos showing why, but I'd rather offer suggestions than put the place down. I have many photos I won't post, since that's not my job. The breakfast buffet had lots to choose from and was very good. The pool was lovely, and my son had a great time there. Most of the staff were friendly, more welcoming this time, and smiled, which matters to me. I don't blame them for the problems, since I think management sets these rules. For example, a family of three is supposed to get three free bottles of water each day. More cost 20 baht at the cafe, but reception charged 30 baht or more for a warm bottle, even though the cafeteria is only seven meters away and sells cold water. They tried this on our first visit too. Towels are meant to be changed once a day, but those rules apparently don't apply when you're checking out. Since we were leaving at lunch, they wouldn't give us a fresh blanket. We couldn't shower or freshen up before checkout, and couldn't even get a roll of toilet paper. My wife had to go buy some at 7/11. That's crazy. We also tried room service. The delivery person knocked, then walked in without taking off their shoes when my wife opened the door. The room had old, used flip-flops for after a shower. I wouldn't recommend using them because of the health risks, so bring your own or wear socks. Management seems too focused on small cuts and savings. Why not focus on bringing in more money and making guests happier by providing water, a clean blanket, or toilet paper? Moving the cafeteria to the pool could boost sales, since people swimming would probably want drinks, ice cream, or coffee without walking all the way there. You could also advertise swimming suits, pants, and goggles in the lobby for people who forgot theirs. Clothes have big margins. These changes could earn more and make customers happier. The service just isn't good enough right now. I've shared some ideas, so focus on service and new sources of income instead of cutting back. I'm not happy to write this kind of review, but it's honest. Bye.
