I've stayed at THE PLOY twice and think it's good value. Its location works well, both in Korat and within the city, and the staff are a big help with directions around Korat or getting laundry done. The woman who manages THE PLOY speaks enough English to help with whatever you need. I'd recommend staying here for either a short or long visit to Korat.
Ploy Namkang.
I've been back several times. It's 600 baht a night and handily placed near Rajabhat University and Technical College. The bed is a little hard, and some rooms have noisy air conditioners and refrigerators, though the nearby bars haven't really disturbed my sleep. The bathroom comes with soap, shampoo, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a hairdryer, and a shower cap. There are two water bottles in the room, plus parking, with the lot next door as an option when it's full.
The location is handy and the rooms are clean, with good service. The one downside is having no elevator.
It's in a great spot, close to places to eat and within walking distance.
