The One House

It's a clean, sturdy, busy guesthouse, so don't come expecting anything fancy. Still, I love it here. The bedding is clean, the room spotless, and the air conditioner cools quietly. The hospitality is warm and welcoming too.

I only spent one night in one room, right above the lobby, but found it a very enjoyable place. The room and bathroom were both large, clean, bright, and pleasant. I understand they have rooms in different sizes.

The breakfast setup in the little lobby was handy: bread, jam, a toaster, tea and other drink packets, plus a kettle. Khun One even left bread in our room because we're vegetarian and it's harder to find vegetarian food in Nan. He was also a great source of useful tips for getting around town and the province. Khun One has a lot of experience with foreigners and was warm, kind, and helpful throughout. We had a comfortable room with a bed, small couch, air conditioner, fan, and a lovely balcony where we enjoyed early morning tea. There was daily room service, which made me feel spoiled. It's one of the cleanest, best-serviced, and most pleasant places we've stayed in Thailand. Really lovely hospitality and excellent value for the price. We highly recommend this unusually good hotel.

I never stayed there, but I did have a good interaction with the owner. I booked through Agoda even though I'd had bad experiences with its service before, because the price looked very attractive. Agoda had attached pictures and room details incorrectly, so I was surprised when I arrived at the apartment. The owner was caring and client-focused, and we sorted things out in 15 minutes. I got a full refund and moved to another place that had the room I needed. 🤝
