Socool Grand Hotel

This was my third stay here, but the decline in quality and general freshness over the years means it'll be my last. There's a lot of noise from all directions because the rooms aren't properly insulated. They're somewhat dated, though that isn't a major problem. The bathroom water pressure and heating were noticeably poor. We also had a power outage, so take care if you use the elevator.

The staff were kind, but they didn't speak English, so you'll need someone to translate. The problems I describe aren't the employees' choice. I booked online while on vacation in Thailand and was shocked by the room. Its window was no wider than 15 cm and faced the hotel corridor, so there was no privacy. It didn't look like the pictures. I paid for the room, I wasn't asking for it free, but there was no honesty. The rooms on the left side seemed to have been converted from a store. You could hear everything happening inside as you walked through the hallway behind them. These rooms are numbered 108 to 105, and the same-numbered rooms on the other floors are similar. At night, a big machine was running, and I couldn't sleep on the top floor in that same group of rooms. I had to move to another room in the middle of the night. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The pool, gym, and restaurant are all great. The hotel is very convenient, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. I've stayed here a few times and highly recommend it.

The staff were good and my room was very nice. I would've liked more choice at breakfast, but otherwise it was a very nice place to stay.
