Phutara Resort

I've been coming every year for Songkran, and it keeps getting worse. The food takes a long time, and if I ask the staff something, they say they'll check with the owner, but then nothing comes of it. The life jacket charge gets stranger each year. I got my money back the first year, didn't get a refund the second, and brought my own jacket the third year, yet paid the same as people without one. This year the entrance fee is 20 baht per person, for both children and adults, regardless of how many people are in your group.

During Songkran I expected crowds, but there was no service at all despite the 20 baht entry charge. You have to go order food yourself, then wait for your name to be called before you can collect it. It's noisy and packed, so nobody can hear you, and you have to search for a seat on your own. They said they didn't have enough staff, which just leaves the customer doing the work while still paying the entrance fee. Nothing feels convenient, and it's not the relaxing, chill atmosphere I was hoping for. Think carefully before coming during the festival.

What a mess. The bathroom was cramped, the shower was broken, and the toilet wouldn't flush. There was no soap holder or clothes hanger, the bathroom window latch wouldn't lock, and the ceiling was damaged. The TV didn't work either. The room smelled musty, and the sink outside the bathroom was leaking.

The atmosphere is okay, and there's food service, though you have to buy the food. If the view were of a water park, it would be really pleasant. The rooms are what need attention, and it'd be good to have them renovated.
