The staff were both friendly and capable. The Thailand border crossing is about a five-minute drive away.

I’m still missing the warm, relaxing stay I had at this beautiful, exclusive resort. The hospitality came from the heart and was the true five-star kind. It far surpassed the poor, unprofessional service at Marriott The Surawongse, which was a complete failure. Thank you for treating me so kindly. I’ll be back.

The place is clean and quiet, and the service and staff are friendly. Still, breakfast was hard to enjoy in the peaceful setting because a child of the significant hotel management drove a cart around the restaurant playing repetitive “old McDonald has a farm” and ABC songs through a loud speaker. Nobody seemed to consider what guests needed. We deserved a meal without the disruption of a child driving a fancy cart with the speaker blaring. If it had been someone else’s child, they would have been asked to leave for disturbing diners.

The staff at Panlan were fantastic, and we’ll be back soon. On our first night the air conditioning failed, so I reported it to reception the next morning. They took it seriously, apologized repeatedly, and moved us to another room at no extra charge, all within an hour. They understood the problem and handled it exceptionally well. The food was hot and wholesome, and transport was provided between the room and restaurant. A real land of smiles, this resort.
