Riverine Place Hotel & Residence

The river setting is peaceful and still convenient for local attractions. The public areas feel welcoming, with a bright lobby, functional gym, and tasteful furnishings. Staff were professional and attentive. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with clean modern interiors, thoughtful amenities, cozy beds, pristine linens, and neatly presented towels. The living areas and kitchens are well equipped for longer stays, and big windows and a balcony give you a pleasant river view. A relaxed stay and excellent value for travelers looking for comfort and reliable service. Perfect lodging when I come here Thailand for Run for Relife event! 😊✨✨✨👍🏻

We’re here for four nights over the holidays. This is a room at a decent price, and there are no bedbugs, but it feels more like a random Airbnb than a real hotel, certainly nowhere near a 4-star experience. The place needs to decide what it is: some kind of retirement home with certain rooms or floors listed as hotel rooms. The rooms are very outdated, worn, and not clean. There are lots of stains on the sheets, mold in the shower, and the doors and windows don’t seem to seal shut. It takes nearly 10 minutes for the shower water to get hot. Bugs in the building and rooms also seem likely given the gaps and the cleanliness. The fitness center is more like a physical therapy center. Apparently the fitness center is closed for two days for the holidays. The pool was listed as open, but it was being cleaned for hours in the middle of a holiday day. We sat in chairs there from 10 am to 1 pm hoping to swim. Cleaning was already underway before we arrived and still didn’t look halfway done when we left. Incredibly disappointing. People book hotels over holidays to enjoy and use the facilities. A standard hotel would do maintenance or cleaning during closed hours, early in the morning or overnight. Absurd.

Getting to central Bangkok takes some effort, and there’s no transit nearby, but it works well if you’re driving. Our room had stunning river views, and the pool and adjacent restaurants are beautiful. The breakfast buffet was good, especially the outstanding scrambled eggs from the egg guy. The gym is huge and has plenty of equipment, though everything looks old. The barbells are good, with lots of plates, a power rack, and more. Dumbbells only go to 50 lbs (22.7 kg), and there are several kettlebells up to 24 kg. The functional trainer is good and looks newer. I didn’t try the cardio equipment, but the treadmills looked ok.

The room was perfect 👍, and a very helpful staff member went and got us towels when there were none at the pool. But this place is irritating in so many other ways and really needs to decide what it is. A retirement home? A condo? It’s not a hotel. The signs are bad, and the car park is light. There are signs for everyone except 'hotel' residents. We were told, 'Move your car that's for condo residents,' while reception said, 'yes can park anywhere around here'. Many more things like that make the place irritating 🤷‍♂️
