The location was a big plus, right opposite the walking street, with Lotus, 7-Eleven, and bike rentals nearby. At 650 baht a night during high season, the clean, comfortable room was a great deal. The AC worked perfectly, too. A handy choice for budget travelers.
The shower leaked, leaving the bathroom floor wet, and the towels didn’t feel or smell clean, so I used my own. Still, the price was so good that these weren’t a big deal, and I’d definitely stay again. I was here for three nights and slept really well. My bed was very soft, and the curtains blocked an amazing amount of light. The room was a bit old, but everything worked, including the AC and fan. It was quiet at night despite being close to walking street. Staff were kind and helpful. There was a fridge and TV in the room, plus hot water and self-serve coffee and tea near reception.
Charlie’s House was a great base, surprisingly quiet despite being about a one-minute walk from walking street. Room #4 had a clean room, a small terrace, hot shower, refrigerator, and one of the most comfortable king size beds and pillows. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and motorbike rentals are available on site. Highly recommend!
There was a mix-up when I called. I booked a room with two beds, but when I arrived they said I’d asked for one and wanted an extra fee. The rooms weren’t very clean or fancy, which is why I gave this rating. They did provide water and toilet paper.
