Pai Chan Cottage & Cuisine

The owners were really friendly and helpful, and the place is beautiful. The cottages are simple but great, with a particularly spacious shower, and the food is delicious. They're mostly wood, so not completely sealed, and you'll probably run into a gecko, spider or cockroach or two. If that doesn't bother you, you should go!

The shower was great, and the pool area looked nice, though its outdoor cushions really need replacing. But I barely slept with the noise from town: music, traffic, barking dogs, roosters, and drunk people. The café food was okay, but there are much better options down the road, and they only make some of the menu items. The bungalow felt old, with an uneven floor and big gaps, poor lighting in both the room and bathroom, and a hard, lumpy mattress and pillows. It's also too close to town for a quiet stay.

A lovely, peaceful setting, and the food was good without being pricey. It's about a ten-minute walk to the main road. They have mosquito nets in the rooms, which is a nice touch, but bring repellent too.

The place has lovely views, a great location, friendly staff, and lots of sweet dogs plus a cat. It did feel like some areas needed work, and cleanliness could've been better. Being next to fluid pool also means loud music can carry on late.
