Pai Colorful Resort

The locals running this resort were kind and helpful. Clean, comfortable houses, an amazing "little forest" garden, and delicious Thai food.

The location's a shame because the room is so old. The bedding was yellow and torn, and the pillows smelled. At night there was barely any light in the hallway. The air conditioner was noisy and didn't work. The bathroom wasn't very clean, either. There was no kettle, hairdryer, dressing table, or coat hangers, and no mirror in the bedroom, just a small one in the bathroom. With nowhere to hang clothes except the bathroom rack, it was really inconvenient for women. A bit of renovation might make the place more impressive. Livable, but not pleasant 😅

The room felt decades old, but the yellowish water was the unacceptable part. It wasn't clear, and I couldn't tell if it was well water. Since I've never used well water, I worried it might cause an allergic reaction or rash. After showering, I rinsed again with drinking water, and used drinking water to brush my teeth too because I didn't dare use the resort's yellowish water. It was inconvenient 🙄😒😑😮‍💨😕🙁. If you drive about 2-3 kilometers further toward Chiang Mai, there's another resort, Na Non Resort. It costs the same, 500 baht, but the accommodation is cleaner and more comfortable. Most of all, its water is clear, unlike the yellowish water here 😅😅.

There were ants in the bathroom and in the room, and the air conditioner kept switching on and off. Checkout was at 11:30, but staff knocked before 9:50 and told us to leave because the next guest needed to check in right away. Two staff members pressured us outside the room while we rushed to get dressed. Is that how guests should be treated?
