Pai Do See Resort

We stayed here for roughly two weeks while in pai, and loved it. The rooms are spacious and have all the basic essentials, and there's a nice, quiet garden area. It's an easy walk to Walking Street or a quick drive. All the staff are smiley and happy to help with anything. A nice extra is the really good coffee from reception. We'll definitely come back when we're in pai again.

The water in the bathroom was yellow and barely had any pressure. I only noticed the color after brushing my teeth, when the water tasted strange, so I rinsed my mouth with bottled water. There was just one bar of hand soap, with no proper tiles, shower amenities, hair dryer, or other essentials. The room itself felt unsafe and unhygienic. Its lock didn't seem secure, and the sheets were stained and smelled bad. The grounds looked badly neglected and overgrown, with mosquitoes everywhere. After I went out and came back, all the electricity had been cut, including the lights and outlets. I travel often and have stayed in all kinds of places, but this was one of the most unacceptable experiences I've had. Basic cleanliness, safety, and hospitality were missing throughout. I can't recommend it.

The room had no electricity during my stay, and when I went out, someone entered it without authorization. The towel smelled strongly of massage oil, so I suspect it hadn't been cleaned properly. I was charged a 200 baht room deposit at check-in, which seemed designed to be kept afterward. They deliberately listed a room without AC online, then offered me one with AC for extra money at check-in. They also sent a message emphasizing the 11am checkout. If you miss it and check out at noon like at other hotels, your 200 baht is gone. Staff were rude, challenged me for taking photos, and dared me to file a police report. Worst place I've ever stayed.

The only good part was the lovely staff. The photos are misleading, and the bathrooms stink up the place. During my three-day stay, the sheets weren't changed once. For the price, there's not even water in the room, and there are no amenities or breakfast, despite the premium rates.
