Baan Hin Sai Suay

I really didn't like how little privacy guests had. Late at night they knocked and brought the police to check. If they were suspicious of something, they should have checked at check-in. That was very inappropriate. They also came around late at night telling us to collect food and other things while we were still staying there. The view and room are beautiful, and the bed is soft, though a little small. The water pressure in the bathroom isn't good, and the shower was not clean at all. The atmosphere was okay, but I found it a bit expensive and not worth the price. I'd give it 1 star.

I stayed on July 13, 68, after seeing pictures that looked pretty good. The entrance road was rough the whole way, though luckily it wasn't very long. Since I arrived in the dark and was tired, someone showed me to the room and I just went in. It was a small house with a double bed room that felt quite narrow, while the bathroom was big. There was hot water, though sometimes it was warm and sometimes it wasn't. The room looked like the pictures. Inside was okay, if not very clean, but the area outside the room and the seats looked as if they hadn't been cleaned or made ready for guests. There was dust and spider webs, so I checked in and stayed indoors because the outside didn't look okay. There was a refrigerator and a storage cabinet, plus two sachets of coffee. On check-in day they left only one bottle of water, though normally places provide two. The towels were old but didn't smell musty. There was soap, but no shampoo, so you'd have to use soap to wash your hair, I guess, or not wash it. I booked and drove in directly with the accommodation, paying 650฿ per night. For what you get, I thought that was a bit expensive, though maybe it could be considered good value. The service wasn't very good. Staff were around, but if you need to leave early in the morning, you may have to wake them up. There seemed to be only three customers across all the rooms the night I stayed, which didn't surprise me when I checked out. Around 1-2 AM I heard people arguing very loudly for a long time. I couldn't tell if they were at the accommodation or in the house next door. I couldn't sleep well, and the noise went on for almost the whole night. This was probably the only time I'll accidentally stay here. I wasn't impressed with the first service I got. The accommodation should improve both its service and the resort's cleanliness. First impressions matter a lot for this kind of business.

The room was passable, but the water heater didn't work, and a dog chewed up my shoes. The bite marks are clearly visible in the photos. The road to the accommodation was terrible, and a lot needs to be improved.

The room felt new and was clean. Even the coffee cups were shrink-wrapped against dust, and the drinking glasses had plastic bags over them. The staff were friendly and helpful. They provided mosquito coils, even though we ate outside the house and there were hardly any mosquitoes, and they left us an extra one too. The bathroom only had liquid soap. We'd forgotten toothpaste, so we asked if they sold any. They said no, but the guesthouse had a travel toiletries set with toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, and a toothbrush, which we used instead of our own. Haha. Ice was available to buy, with a cooler for 20 baht. Blacky, the black dog, would lie in front of the room and wander around like he was patrolling for us. We paid 650 baht for two people. The room was about 100-200 meters down an alley, which felt close enough and was near the main road. I'd suggest adding a small or medium-sized refrigerator.
