You’ll want your own vehicle here since shops and other places aren’t close enough to walk to. There’s plenty of parking, and the renovated rooms were clean and nice. Reception is open 24 hours, with friendly, helpful staff. They provide hot water and coffee at reception, and there are washing machines plus a small store there too. The bathroom felt quite small, but we were happy with the hotel overall.

I stayed for more than a week, and the price was reasonable compared with nearby hotels, but the room itself was only average and the service was bad. When I asked about a toothbrush that had gone missing after daily cleaning, the receptionist acted as if it was my fault and didn’t apologize. She was also upset when I asked for water because housekeeping hadn’t left any. She said she was working alone and I’d have to wait, or might not get water at all. I never got an apology for either issue. For comparison, the receptionist at Tharakiree Place Hotel, just before this Baan Pa Yai, was much better.

A budget place to stay when exploring Khaoyai, right at the Mitraphap and Thanarut Road junction. Handy if you’re looking for an inexpensive, convenient location.
