We arrived to find the place empty and dark, and it looked as if everyone had left a long time ago. We’d booked through booking. Com, which showed it as open, so I reported the problem directly. After driving from Pattaya at 1 pm, we didn’t reach Khao Yai until 9 pm because of traffic and road maintenance. We were really disappointed to have to find somewhere else, but eventually found a homestay for the night not far from Bambusa. Thanks to our driver for helping us find a good place.

There was barely space to move around the bed, and hardly anywhere to put our suitcases. The room also had a damp, musty smell, sticky floors, dim lighting, and blankets that smelled. There was no refrigerator. The bathroom was tiny, and shower water splashed into the already cramped bedroom. For a little more money, you could find somewhere better, or there are several nearby places starting at 390฿. I don’t know whether those are in better condition, though.
