Hello Hostel Pakchong

I liked it enough to book an extra night at the very last minute. The hostel was great and very clean, and the people were the friendliest. It's close to the train station, and arranging a pickup for tours was easy. I can't think of anything bad from my stay, and would recommend it to anyone.

The town is cheaper than the major cities we saw in Thailand, though there isn't much to see besides Khao Yai National Park, which is well worth a visit. The owners helped us book a park tour and were really friendly and helpful. They speak perfect English after studying abroad. Our four-bed dorm had quite a bit more space than other hostels we'd stayed in, and the hostel was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was different from the usual toast and jam: there was fresh fruit, Nutella, peanut butter and cereal.

We rented a scooter at the hostel to get to Khao Yai. They also offer guided park tours with transportation, food and a guide from pickup to drop-off at the hostel. The place was clean and modern, and the owners were very friendly and clearly cared about our stay. It's close to the train and bus, night market and bars. We had a great time!

I stayed here in late 2019, on my very first night in Asia. It was extremely inexpensive, with a shared room and free breakfast, and had everything I needed. I arrived very late at night on the train from Bangkok, and the lady at the front desk kept the place open for me. The next day I went on a tour in Khao Yai. Lovely park, lovely town, lovely hostel.
