La Reina Maroc Hotel

A great place to stay in Khaoyai. The hotel has a creative design, several room types to choose from, and the rooms are clean and nice. Staff were super friendly, and the set breakfast had plenty of tasty choices.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is well maintained with a good price. It has a stylish Moroccan look, from the painted walls and selected tiles to the rooms, and it’s nicely lit with a good feel at night. My room was spacious, tidy, and clean, with a comfortable bed. Phone coverage worked fine, but the Wi-Fi wasn’t very fast or reliable. Breakfast comes with a choice of omelet, pork porridge, pork fried rice, or an American breakfast. There’s also white toast with creamer butter and jam, coffee, ovaltine, black tea, fresh milk, and orange juice. I tried the pork porridge and omelet. The porridge was mostly rice and a bit tasteless, while the omelet was mostly magarine. I wish they hadn’t used magarine. Breakfast could be better. Visited 15 Dec 2024.

We were the only guests there at the time, three girls, when the power suddenly went out after 10pm. There was just one male staff member on the property, and he did his best to get the electricity back, which we appreciated. Still, the blackout was terrifying, and management refused any compensation, saying they had a no discount policy. This was the most expensive hotel we booked in Thailand, so I’m extremely disappointed with the service.

The owner made me feel welcome and cared for, which meant a lot as a solo woman of a certain age. Her smile felt like morning sunshine whenever she greeted me. The room was pretty and spacious, with spotless rooms and bathrooms and a comfortable bed. La Reina Maroc itself is stunning, with beautiful Moroccan-style interior architecture. Everything was just perfect, and I’d stay again if I visit Pak Chong in the future. I highly recommend La Reina Maroc .
