Rain Tree Khao Yai Hotel

There’s a huge range of things to do here, from play and sports areas around the property to vegetable gardens, koi ponds, and a spot for stargazing. The library is large and open for both kids and adults to use anytime. The book and author themed rooms reflect the hotel’s connection to Nanmee book publisher, which has the same owner. It’s a great fit for families, especially those looking for activities for children through young adults.

The kids loved the playground, ziplines, pool, games, and library, and there are organized activities for them every day. We joined the Easter egg hunt and forest walk, both highly recommended. Food was decent but basic. We weren’t there for a food experience anyway, just a memorable time with the family. The birdwatching was incredible. Over our two nights, we spotted black-crested bulbul, grey-backed shrike, hair-crested drongo, white-crested laughing thrush, and plenty of other interesting birds. We didn’t even need to leave our mountain view suite. The balcony sits around the middle canopy of the giant raintrees and above the tops of some smaller trees, so we could watch them right from the room. Thank you Raintree.

Great place for families, with lots for kids to do and a really good library. Our suite was spacious and clean. The staff were excellent, and breakfast was surprisingly tasty.

We spent five nights in a suite over Christmas, and leaving was hard. The mountain view each morning was a highlight, and the huge suite was very comfortable for our family of four. Nature activities kept our two kids busy the whole stay. They especially enjoyed the outdoor playground and the book themed corners. A real hidden gem for families.
