Bang Boet Bay Beach Resort

This little curved beach disappointed me. There's a fishing village at one end, while the rest seems aimed at tourists, though I appeared to be the only tourist there on a weekday. The shore had quite a lot of litter, and some hotels and chalets along the beach road looked neglected or only partly built. It felt like a ghost town. In the evening, apart from a few locals eating at one restaurant near the fishing village, nobody was around. It was eerie, and I was glad to leave the next day. 😕

There's so much trash on this beach. I've never seen pollution like this anywhere in all my time in Asia. It's absolutely heartbreaking, because I'm sure this place was gorgeous once.

A nice place to visit, with lots of restaurants around. Bring your own swimwear. The water isn't very clear, and watch out for big waves sometimes during the monsoon.

Bang Boet has a calm, authentic feel, with a lovely sense of rural seaside life. The beach runs for several kilometres, with soft golden sand and water that shifts from turquoise to deep blue in the changing light. Coconut palms and small fishing boats along the shore give it a peaceful, postcard-like look. It's not a major tourist destination, so things stay quiet and laid-back. Local fishermen bring in their daily catch, and families walk along the sand during the cooler parts of the day. Sunrise is especially beautiful, with orange and pink spreading across the horizon above the calm sea. For a bit of exploring, the nearby Khao Bang Boet hill has a scenic hike and wide views over the bay. Seafood is another reason to visit. Small family-run restaurants by the beach serve fresh fish, crabs, and prawns at very affordable prices. It's a place to relax, eat well, and enjoy the natural surroundings without the usual tourist distractions. Whether you're driving south or want a quiet stop between Hua Hin and Chumphon, Bang Boet Beach is worth discovering for its natural serenity and authentic charm.
