J Inspired Hotel Pattaya

The first day, they put me in the residence by mistake, which felt like two stars at best, but charged me the same rate. J-inspired was a little better, though room service stopped at 8:45 even though the brochure said 9. I called at 8:48 and they just repeated that they were closed, without trying to sort anything out. The room and facilities felt more like three stars than the advertised four. Very disappointing overall. I definitely won't return.

The broken lock on my balcony door made me feel unsafe. My second-floor room was right by the first-floor roof, so I worried someone could climb up and get into the room to steal my money. I had asked for a higher, quiet room at check-in, but ended up beside a busy street. Outside motorcycles and other vehicles kept me awake until 1 or 2 am every night, and the soundproofing between rooms was even worse. I could hear the neighbors' TV and music clearly. I've stayed at another four-star hotel in Pattaya and never had noise problems like this. One housekeeper also spoke loudly on her phone with the speaker on right outside my room around 8 am. For a four-star hotel in Thailand, this was completely unacceptable. I booked six nights because of the good online reviews, but the stay was horrible. If you're a light sleeper, I highly, highly wouldn't recommend it.

The pool was the fun part, especially for kids. There's a waterslide, and even the children's pool has one. Staff were splendid, though still a bit ignorant, and room service had some significant language barriers. I had a great stay apart from one serious thing: they had absolutely no soap. Where is the hygiene, guys?!

The hotel and the place itself were really, really nice and clean. The staff were good people and very welcoming, especially Mickey, Dear, and Kamyui.
