The Green Park Resort

The garden and pool are lovely, the location is great, and breakfast was decent. The hospitality, though, was really poor. We booked for three people and paid for an extra bed. I even noted in the reservation that the room should be ready for three, but when we arrived the bed wasn’t set up and staff didn’t seem to know about it. After an hour and a half, they brought and installed a roller bed. We were also short on towels, cups, and glasses. I called again, but after an hour they brought only a mug. I gave up trying because it seemed they didn’t understand English well. For a four-star place in Thailand, it was ridiculous. No one apologized for the mistakes, and staff always looked annoyed and never smiled at guests. Even the breakfast staff seemed cold and expressionless, which I’ve never experienced at a resort in Thailand before. There are other places in the same area with warmer, more caring service. I really don’t recommend this resort.

I’m satisfied overall and will come back. This was my second work trip here, and Mr K was very hospitable at both check-in and check-out. All the receptionists were polite, and I love the pools and breakfast. I wish laundry came back faster and was delivered without me having to ask. I sent it Tuesday, then had to call on Wednesday evening to get it brought to my room. For the last three days, I didn’t send anything because I was worried it wouldn’t come back quickly 😂

At checkout, I was charged for a water glass they said was missing. I went back to the room to show the staff where the supposed missing glass was, but no one understood, or wanted to understand, what I was saying. I ended up paying for something I hadn’t taken. The rooms weren’t clean, either. After room service, there was even more hair, especially in the bathroom, than before. Worse, there were all kinds of insects, including a cockroach in my room. I can’t recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Pattaya.

The large pool area and its inviting bar are a real highlight, and the garden feels like a peaceful little idyll. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and spotless. Staff throughout the hotel are incredibly warm and friendly. It’s still just as beautiful as it was years ago.
