Khanittha Homestay

From our balcony we had an incredible view, and on the first night we spotted a water monitor, monkeys, fish, mudskippers, snakes and loads of birds. One kingfisher in particular had amazing orange and blue coloring. Khanittha is a wonderful host, and her evening meals were some of the best food I had during my three weeks in Thailand. A truly magical place run by a magical person. A must visit 😃

You could sit on the porch for hours, watching the tide change and local fishermen at work. We loved kayaking through the mangroves, and the private trip to Koh Panyee and James Bond island was worth doing early, when we had the place almost entirely to ourselves. Khanittha, Mogens and their extended family made us feel at home right away. The fresh home cooked meals were tasty and made on demand. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out and decorated, with what you need and some extras like mosquito nets, books and an equipped outdoor kitchenette. This homestay is a peaceful mangrove retreat where you can unwind and experience authentic Thailand. We only wish we'd stayed longer. Khob kun kaa, and hopefully we'll see you again.

I brought my older parents here, and we already miss it. Photos just can't capture the magic. The husband and wife team and their family put so much love and care into this home away from home. Thank you for everything kaa!
