Phi Phi Mountain Beach Resort

I’d suggest heading to Viewpoint 2 & 3 early if you’re up for a hike. The hotel itself has a calm, private feel, and there’s very little boat traffic, which is a real plus on Phi Phi Island. You’re away from the overcrowded tourist area but still within a comfortable walk of it. The beach is pleasant, well maintained, and has plenty of seating. The food options are enjoyable and good quality. Staff were friendly and helpful, though not especially remarkable, and their English could be better. It isn’t luxurious and feels a little dated, but compared with other places nearby, it’s one of the better options. I’d recommend staying here.

There’s great snorkeling right in front of the resort, and more spots just a short walk away, probably about 100m in either direction. It never felt crowded. The rooms are in what I think is the best location of any resort on Koh Phi Phi Don. Breakfast is included and pretty standard, though still very good. The staff were really friendly and handled bookings and requests right away. This would be my first choice to return to, and my number one recommendation.

If you stay out late in the island’s main area, getting a boat back can mean waiting for more people or paying above the usual price. During the day, there’s a handy car service between reception and the bungalows. The bungalows are comfortable and have lovely views. Breakfast has a good range, and there are fire shows on the beach in the evening. You can also arrange private tours through the hotel for a good price. I was very satisfied.

The room had an amazing view, and it was clean. The staff were kind, responsive, and great. It’s a small resort, but with the beach, restaurant, and a couple of pools, I didn’t need more. My shower still worked, though water was spraying out of the pipe and the pressure was lower. I called for help and someone came quickly, but it wasn’t repaired during my stay. I also wasn’t sure what to do with the room service dishes afterward. Leaving them outside felt like a bad idea in the jungle, lol. I’d definitely stay again.
