Rattana View Hotel

The reservation service was lovely, and the room and bathroom were clean. The room also had quite a complete set of items. But I do want to complain about the hot water kettle in the room.

There are many shops, restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and the hotel is an absolute bargain for the price. Breakfast is included: basic Thai food, plus a voucher for one item from a limited hot-food selection such as fried rice. The hotel is large, spread across several blocks, and kept clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious, with basic essentials like a flatscreen TV, mini fridge, toiletries, and mini-split air conditioning. A few small things to know: there’s just one bedside table, and no kettle in the room. The main water urn is in the ground-floor dining room and is usually disconnected at night. The curtains have no sheer layer, and the glass is clear, not tinted. Traffic from the nearby main road can be heard, and the bed was almost rock hard. Still enjoyable if these little issues don’t bother you.

Parking is available throughout the area between the buildings, and both have wheelchair ramps for easy access. The hotel is reasonably central in the city. It’s a good, somewhat older place, with my room in the building next to the main road. I had a standard double room with breakfast. It was a decent size, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was served in the building behind, where the restaurant is. It was simple, with coupons available to order other breakfast dishes.

Breakfast is included, which is really nice for the price, and the dining area is clean. The staff were very friendly. My room was spacious and clean, and I had a pleasant stay. Some rooms are close to the main road, but the noise wasn’t much of a problem. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Pitsanulok.
