The Bed Hotel

The building and rooms are spotless, and the cleaning staff do a great job. Everyone on staff is kind and accommodating. The beds are just so-so. The balcony is great, though it needs a chair, so I used the one from inside. There's a great Coffee shop on the corner.

For 600 baht, we got a clean, large, pleasant double room with a balcony, excellent bathroom, built-in closet, AC, TV, safe room door, and good room service. Free coffee downstairs and plenty of parking, too. It's a peaceful area, though a few planes pass overhead, and the hotel is not near downtown. The place is brand new and worth the price, but there are some annoyances: staff don't speak English, the hallway gets noisy when people come and go, and the door plays an unnecessary tune when opened, which disturbed us at night. The lift also rings a very loud ding-dong often, and we could hear heavy footsteps from the room above.

Good for a quick overnight stop in Phitsanulok to break up a long drive. It's a budget hotel with lots of parking and a short walk to the city center. Rooms are clean and furnished a bit better than apartments. There's free instant coffee in the lobby, drinks for sale, and no food at the hotel, though there are places to eat nearby. There's plenty of parking space.

We paid a modest price for one night in a room for two. The beds were really big, and everything was clean and new, including a bathroom stocked with the usual hotel items. The new air conditioner ran all night without too much noise, so we slept comfortably. The snag was that the receptionist didn't speak English. Luckily our guide helped, and we got the room quickly.
