Phurua Inn

The rooms were clean and ready, and pets are welcome. Even though the place is on the main highway, our room stayed quiet. A really nice place with friendly staff.

The room itself was nice, though the bed felt a bit hard, Thai style. But the noise from the lobby and doors banging in the neighboring rooms made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Horrendous. I definitely won’t stay here again.

The room was quite nice, though the parking spaces felt a little too tight. The trouble came with the breakfast coupons. On our second night, we were given coupons and told the owner wanted us to have them. We hadn’t paid for breakfast and understood we weren’t entitled to it, but the next morning the staff said the coupons were invalid and refused to accept them. The woman at the counter scolded us, saying the room was already too cheap and giving us breakfast would make the hotel go broke. She treated us as if we’d taken the coupons without permission. It was embarrassing and completely unacceptable. They could simply have not given us the coupons. I don’t know whether it was a mix-up or something else, but it felt like a poor April Fool’s joke in December, especially on the last day of the year. We later spoke with the owner. She said there’d been a miscommunication and that she would “take care” of the staff member who hadn’t paid enough attention and caused it. There was no apology at all. So, if you want a good room and don’t mind disappointing service, this place may suit you.

The staff and owners were lovely, and the rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable, with lots of amenities. Breakfast was very good too. It’s a lovely hotel. This was already my second visit.
