The spa has lots of treatments. After getting too much sun, I’d really recommend the Aloe Vera massage, and my wife was very pleased with her full set of nails. We also liked the food, and the room service arrives by boat. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Our pool access room was beautiful, though the bed felt a little firm to me. The beach is a 10-minute walk away, or you can take the hotel bus, which runs every morning at 10. We found the taxis available at the hotel helpful and inexpensive; the drivers offered to wait while we were out and bring us back without charging extra. We had a great stay at Access Resort and Villas.

The restaurant was good for both breakfast and dinner, and I especially liked the egg station where a chef cooked eggs and bacon to order. The staff were super nice and friendly, always doing their best to help. We stayed in two different rooms during our three weeks, and both were comfortable. The whole place has a quiet feel, a welcome break from the busy stretch near Karon beach. It’s a 15-20 minute walk down to the beach, or a taxi costs 2-300 baht. You can also rent scooters at the hotel. I’d happily stay here again.

The Blue Wing rooms have recently had an extensive renovation, with a brighter, more modern beach feel. The pool has been retiled and looks clear and inviting, and getting into it from the rooms is easier now, with steps and wide benches along one side. We’ve stayed at this resort four times since 2017, and it remains our first choice in Phuket. The staff greet you with big smiles, and even though some have changed over the past eight years, the newer team is just as welcoming. The food is still amazing. We’ve ordered room service by gondola boat several times and really enjoyed the beef cheeseburgers and Thai beef salad. After more than 10 months of travel, I’d put the breakfast buffet among the best we’ve had, with eggs made to order and lots of other choices. The spa is great value: I paid around AUD40 for a 60-minute aroma massage and 30-minute facial. The therapist was incredibly skilled, and I’ve had plenty of massages around Southeast Asia over the past 10 months. We can highly recommend the resort, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

There are cafés and a 7-Eleven nearby, and the hotel has several pools plus different spots for sunbathing. It never felt crowded, and there was always somewhere to relax. The place was clean, cozy and comfortable, with a lovely atmosphere. Everyone on staff was kind, welcoming and smiling, which made the stay even nicer. I’d definitely recommend it and would be happy to return.
