The food, at both dinner and breakfast, was incredible, with every dish full of flavor and beautifully presented. Service moved slowly, but it suited the peaceful pace and everyone was kind. The hotel is arranged around a quiet pond with lotus leaves that look lovely when lit up at night. It felt like a long, calm summer evening in a tropical setting. If you want somewhere intimate and restful that feels almost suspended in time, this is a magical spot in Prakhon Chai.

We do like this hotel, but our last stay had a serious problem. At 3 am, while we were asleep, someone unlocked our room and a family walked in. They realized right away that something was wrong and left. We told the hotel that a key to our room had been given out, and all we got was the usual, "Oh yeah, sorry about that." That was the whole response.

The gym was the biggest surprise for me. It had excellent equipment, better than my gym back home, including treadmills, Smith machines, free weights and a yoga room. Everything was in great condition, with workout towels ready at the machines. It usually opens at 9, but the staff opened it for me at 6:30. Ning, one of the hotel managers, came by to introduce herself, and I told her how impressed I was by the hotel and staff. I booked Hotel de l’amour Buriram because of its reviews while traveling to a funeral, and expected little from somewhere off the beaten path. Instead, this place felt like an oasis in the countryside. I've stayed in all sorts of hotels around the world, from five-star places to no-star ones, and was stunned by the beauty, luxury, and service here. It's an older hotel, but immaculate and well maintained. Check-in was easy, the clerks spoke English, and our room was spacious, modern, and spotless, with toiletries provided and strong AC, a real plus in the tropics. My girlfriend and I ate at the Shabu Shabu restaurant on site. The all-you-can-eat buffet was tasty and inexpensive. Our room looked out over a lovely lily pond and fountain with goldfish. Breakfast was included, and the Eggs Benedict was decent for a rural hotel in Thailand. The fresh-squeezed orange juice and Italian cappuccino machine especially stood out.

The staff made the stay a pleasure. Everyone I met was cheerful, helpful, and smiling. It's right in central Prakhon Chai, with a Lotus on one side and a 7 Eleven on the other. And the breakfast is great too 😋😋😋
