The Hillside Pranburi Resort

A well-designed, well-run little resort with large, comfortable, well-equipped rooms. The owners are extremely kind and helpful. You’ll need a car or motorbike to reach restaurants and the beach areas. There are good-quality EV AC chargers on site, easy to use, so you can charge overnight.

We liked the property and the kind, well-organized owners so much that we extended our stay once, then came back again on our return journey.

The hosts made us feel right at home, and friendly dogs and cats wander around the grounds. Breakfast was very good. The place is a little back from the beach, but it’s great for hiking or trail running on nearby Peacock mountain. There’s a nice viewpoint close by for sunset, too.

A friend suggested this hotel, and I’m really glad they did. Khun Dee, the generous owner, greets you along with her super nice dogs. She’s friendly, knows the area well, and is always checking if you need anything. If you ride a motorbike, ask her for route ideas. There are excellent roads nearby with beautiful scenery. The hotel is a little outside the local towns and beach, at most 4-5 km away. You can rent motorbikes at Hillside, though I’m not sure of the price since I brought my own. By bike, it takes just 5-8 minutes to get somewhere for food or drinks. Nights are quiet, and the view of the sky is gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds. There are inexpensive instant noodles and rice porridge if you’re hungry and don’t want to go out. After exploring the beaches around Pak Nam Pran or the national parks to the south, you can cool off and relax in the pool or garden. I’d definitely return.
