Back for my second visit, after 2014. The room was nice and the bed was good. There were a few mosquitoes, and the windows could have been cleaner. It was clean enough for me. The TV and fridge were there, though I didn't use either. You can hear through the walls.

I have good memories of staying here ten years ago, when it was quiet, clean, and nice. Now it's in terrible shape. The bathroom looked as if it had been bombed, and there were ants everywhere. There's nothing to keep the mosquitoes out, but the room gets so hot that you have to open the window and spend the night fighting them. There wasn't even a foreign-language TV channel, not even a Thai movie channel. Paying 300thb to go without sleep was no fun. I'd avoid the place now.

The staff were cool, and there are restaurants right by the hotel. My room, number 6, smelled, though the price was fair. It's one of a row of rooms along a ground-floor hallway, with two more storeys above. The mattress was firm, and satellite TV was offered in every room.

Dirty, old, broken, and full of animals. This place feels dangerously unhygienic and should be closed. The staff seem to know only one English word, “PAY.” There's no service, no answers, no complaint handling, and no conversation. There are plenty of better places in Ranong that are even cheaper and clean. After all these years of tourism, at least they have some basic English.
