If you prefer a place without air conditioning during hot season, the breeze through this bamboo hut on the hill keeps it cool and peaceful. Breakfast is simple but fine, and they leave two small bottles of water each day. Laundry is available, and the front desk staff are friendly and ready to help. The owner matched the prices we found online. Just know that privacy can be limited: loud conversations or music from neighboring bungalows carry over.

The family who run the huts are very friendly, and you can ask them about whatever you need. It's a quiet, unusual place to enjoy nature and relax on Koh phayan in low season. The bed is comfortable, and each person gets a small bottle of water per day.

Breakfast is included, with three choices: rice soup, an American breakfast, or muesli with yogurt and fruit. The coffee is instant rather than freshly brewed. The hotel is in the middle of the island on a hill, and its small entrance is a narrow clay path that's easy to miss even with sat nav 🫣. There are a few raised bamboo cottages, simply and sparsely furnished. No air conditioning, just a portable fan in the hut.

We paid around 800 baht a night when we visited, and breakfast was included. The huts are all bamboo, airy and simple. It's our favorite place to stay on the island because it's so quiet and peaceful.

For a quiet, relaxing stay in the middle of the island, this is a nice option. The bamboo huts are comfortable and have a huge king-size bed, though the mattress may feel too soft for some. You'll need to rent a scooter to reach the beach, but there are plenty of places around the island to rent one.
