A really nice place, with an excellent room rate. We'll be back.

The place feels authentic, but I think hotels expecting tourists should know some basic English and offer foreigners a bit of help. Otherwise, the town feels dead and there's little point in having so many hotels. I needed a translator app to communicate with reception because the staff couldn't speak English. When I asked for food suggestions, they sent me the wrong way, and I walked nearly 1.5 km into a very local area. I also asked for help getting around town and finding the bat viewing point, but the receptionist couldn't understand and offered no assistance.

At about 15 euros a night, it felt quite expensive for what we got compared with the rest of Thailand. There aren't many budget options nearby, though, and the bus station is walkable in roughly 20 minutes. There's also a very nice BBQ restaurant close by that you should check out, as other reviews mention. Our sixth-floor room had plenty of space and storage. The hotel was generally okay, with air conditioning, daily soap, tissues, and water. To have the room cleaned, you need to hang the sign on the doorknob. The bathroom gets quite wet after a shower, but that was a minor issue. Wi-Fi was poor. It didn't work at first, and after I told reception it worked a little, but still badly. The receptionist spoke only a little English. He could help arrange a motorbike rental, apparently the only place in Ratchaburi for that, but we needed a translator for everything else.

The location is great, within walking distance of Ratchaburi train station, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I'd read reviews saying the staff couldn't speak English, but reception could manage decent basic English when I checked in and out. The stay exceeded my expectations for the price.
