Aqua Resort Phuket - Near Beach and Chalong Pier

The room had a beautiful view, and they clean the pool every day. Staff were polite, helpful whenever needed, and never intrusive. They even left a lovely birthday surprise in our room for my husband, which was such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was the one downside. There wasn't much choice, and most of it seemed more like lunch food than breakfast.

The room by the pool was spotless, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself was fine, but the internet in that room was poor and we had to sign in again every time. Breakfast was okay, though the ham and sausages were very cheap and the coffee was terrible. The orange juice tasted awful and was far too sweet, and it wasn't even the right color. That's the wrong place to cut costs. We had to drive to get a decent dinner. The beach is only 100 meters away, but you wouldn't want to be near it.

The sea view and pool were lovely, and the room itself looked really good. I booked an exclusive room through an Agoda discount, and the quality of the materials and decor stood out. Thanks so much to the very friendly Thai ladies at reception for making those nights special. 🙏🙏🙏

The basic service is fine, but staying here felt like every conversation was a chance to charge more. The friendliness seemed practiced, with questions that felt more about pricing me than helping me. Nothing was openly rude, but I didn’t feel welcomed or treated generously. It felt like politeness without much good faith, very different from the easy warmth I associate with Thailand. A couple of examples: when I said an estimated price was okay, such as for a cab, the final amount was always a few hundred Baht higher. At checkout, they did an inventory and wouldn’t let me leave until they’d checked all the hangers. 😅😂 It reminded me of flying Ryanair, where the basic service is okay but every interaction feels like another revenue checkpoint. Aqua Resort seems to collect money little by little while keeping everything technically correct. Bad Business 101: smiling while quietly disrespecting the customer. If you’ve stayed before, share your ridiculous checkout stories. I’m sure this could become a hilarious comment section. We see you, Aqua Resort 😂😂😂✊🇹🇭❤️ Thanks for nothing. P.S. Tip the people doing the work in places like this, though I wouldn’t include management or reception.
