Cascades Resort Phuket

I loved relaxing in the garden at this quiet, green and beautiful resort. The rooms were clean and roomier than I expected, with Netflix on the TV. Staff and maids were friendly. There’s a pool if you feel like swimming or tanning, and Rawai beach is just a 5-minute walk away. It was a lovely stay for a reasonable price.

The place is pretty, with lots of greenery and a nice pool. My main complaint is the mosquitoes in the room. I suspect the door was left open during servicing, because we killed 12 to 15 on the day we checked in. Later, someone at the busy common area accidentally opened our door, realized it wasn’t her room, then left without apologizing and left the door half shut. The mosquitoes could get in, so we had to clear them all out again. They were gathering around the entrance. The room wasn’t very clean, with some black stains on the walls, though at least the bedsheet was clean. For what we paid, I wouldn’t expect much or complain. It was decent, I’d say.

The staff were really friendly, and it’s a nice, quiet place in Raway with big rooms and strong air conditioning. The location works well if you have a motorbike. I’d have given it 5 stars if the room had been a little cleaner.

I was unsure when the taxi pulled up because the signs were hidden under overgrown plants and the reception area wasn’t much to look at. But the staff were friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised by the room beside the pool. It was large, bright and airy, with a nice scent when I walked in. There was even Netflix on a big screen. Much nicer than other hotels at the same price!
