Mangosteen Ayurveda & Wellness Resort

The saltwater pool was a delight, and we felt well cared for during our treatments. Dr. Nazeem and Dr. Megha were knowledgeable and very helpful, and the Ayurveda team as a whole was lovely. We also met the resort owners, who were both personable, with Rose being especially kind. A few things could be improved. Our room had such a huge bed that there was barely 10 inches to walk past one side, and I kept banging my shins on its sharp edges. We also came across snakes on the path twice, which made walking back to our room feel a bit scary, especially at night. Some snake deterrent along that route might help. The Ayurveda menu could use more variety and flavor too, particularly at breakfast.

The saltwater pool and the tea of the day made for a lovely way to unwind. I also really enjoyed the food: the Ayurvedic detox and wellness menus were full of flavor, and I didn't even miss having salt. If those set menus aren't for you, they'll make Thai or Western dishes when asked. The juices, teas, and cocktails were all excellent, and Rod, Peter, and Pen made dining feel special. Yoga was a highlight, with two daily classes focused on different parts of the body and beach yoga available as well. The spa team, especially Raine and Bindi, adjusted treatments to my needs and even checked in by phone. Dr. Pin made allergy-friendly ointments that helped a lot after I pulled a muscle during yoga. From the welcome tea and jasmine flower necklace to the thoughtful attention throughout my stay, Poohpae and the front desk team made me feel looked after after a long flight. Everyone was warm and attentive, and knew my name and preferences. The property, the people, and the pampering were all beautifully handled. This was one of the best experiences of my life, and I left still glowing. 10/10, I'd love to come back to Mangosteen.

The pool was so good I ended up using it several times a day and barely wore makeup. One small thing: a brighter bulb over the mirror in the walk-in wardrobe would help. I had a wonderful, relaxing 8 night stay at Mangosteen Ayuvedic resort. My villa was spacious and luxurious, with fresh fruit, a really comfortable bed, and a divine shower. The daily yoga program was excellent, and the restaurant staff were friendly. The food was fresh and super healthy, and the spa and gym were easy to access. I hope to visit again next year.

After two weeks away, with a 10 day Ayurvedic Panchakarma detox in the middle, I came home feeling like a new person emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The yoga, spa, pool, and gym were all fabulous. The rooms are gorgeous, and everything seemed thought through for a comfortable stay. The staff were wonderful and made me feel like part of the family. It was worth every penny, and I'll make this an annual visit. If you're considering booking, go for it, you won't regret it.
