It feels like being in the middle of a magical jungle, with wonderfully caring staff. Right by the village entrance you'll find the island's cheapest coconuts, and there's a noisy but stunning local food market across the road. It's a little away from the main city-center action, which makes it a good escape and a chance to catch the local vibe. You can reach everything with a 40bath morbike ride.

The garden is beautiful, and it’s quiet and peaceful here. My room was spacious and clean, and the staff were lovely. It’s a little far from the tourist areas, so you may want to rent a car, though Grab taxis are very convenient.

We had a comfortable apartment with a large terrace, and the place was clean and quiet with very good service. The kitchen had a microwave and stovetop, but no utensils, so cooking wasn’t really practical. It’s not far from the beach area, though the property is on a very busy road. Take a tuk-tuk or other transport, or look for the smaller roads away from the main one. A nice spot for a few nights.

I got good value for my money. My bungalow was one of the pair numbered 106, with a roomy, comfortable interior and a pleasant front porch. There’s an overhead fan out there, though mosquitoes can be a nuisance. The bed was firm but fine, and the TV was a decent size but not smart. I had trouble getting hot water in the bathroom. The location was just so-so, since this part of Rawai isn’t very lively.
