We only stayed four nights, sharing a room with two single beds. The room was adequate, with quaint decor and clean, good-quality beds and bedding. They inspected and cleaned it when we asked, and the way the requests were passed on to housekeeping was a pleasant little surprise I'll leave you to discover. The included breakfast in the small coffee and meal area was simple but more than enough: eggs, ham or sausage, wholewheat bread, fruit, juices, muesli, and plenty of coffee. All the hotel staff were accommodating and friendly, with the hospitality Thais are known for. I'd give Pier 42 boutique hotel four out of five. Great spot, no more than 100m from Chalong Pier!

The spa treatments were money well spent, and the pier for day trips is within walking distance. It's a quiet, relaxing place, with friendly, helpful staff. The pool was clean and the surrounding gardens were well maintained. I stayed in April 2014 and would highly recommend the resort. A ++++

The small pool is lovely for an afternoon dip, and the place offers great value in a good location. It's family-owned, with freshly renovated, clean rooms and really friendly staff. Easy to walk to the pier if you're diving or heading out on a tour. Highly recommended, and I'd very likely come back.

The staff were really nice and helpful, and I liked the cozy, exotic garden and pool. But I couldn't sleep because the bars around the hotel, with ladies there, were singing and playing music at 2am. That noise is the main issue and the hotel needs to take it seriously. The shower needs major improvement, and some furniture looks shabby. I think the hotel has a lot of potential, but this stay didn't satisfy me. Hope they can improve.

For our two nights, a 3-star place was good enough and I was happy with everything. We enjoyed walking to lots of local restaurants and having nearby spots for fun drinks. I chose to stay near Chalong Pier for fishing after Steve at Phuket Fishing Charters recommended Pier42 for its value and location. Worth a try.
