Rawai Hostel was a really nice surprise. It’s right by the main road, with a 7-Eleven, local restaurants, and cozy cafés only a short walk away. The dorms are clean and comfortable, and each bed has a plug, a light, and a privacy curtain. The mattress was soft, and I slept better here than at some hotels. My favorite part was the shower with a sea view. Looking out at the ocean and mountains, especially at sunset, was so relaxing. Everything felt spotless and well kept. I liked that there are separate dorms for men and women, which made it feel safe and comfortable. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and there’s a shared kitchen, laundry service, and a laid-back common area for hanging out. It’s 500 THB a night, plus a refundable 200 THB deposit. For the comfort, cleanliness, and sea view, I thought it was totally worth it. I’d stay again!

I paid 1000 baht for the stay and wouldn’t recommend it. A broken seal on the fridge door caused a leak that soaked my belongings. The large rooms face a busy road, and they aren’t well insulated. The balcony doors also rattle in the wind, with traffic noise coming through. There wasn’t any drinking water in the room, even though tap water can’t be drunk and most places provide bottles. Hope this is useful.
