Raya Rawai Place

We spent two months here, and checking out felt like saying goodbye to family. The owners are genuinely lovely, and the rooms were clean and quiet. The location worked perfectly for us, with a 7/11 just a minute away on foot and a laundry room with a dryer across from the building. I'd happily stay again, 10/10.

The location was handy for local and international food and nearby attractions. I stayed four weeks, and the staff were really nice and helpful. My room was spacious and well serviced, and the hotel itself was very quiet. Maybe having lots of Muay Thai fighters around helped! The road can get noisy now and then when an idiot races past on a motorbike.

I came for one night after Agoda cancelled my original booking for some reason, and everything was booked out for Chinese New Year. I ended up staying five nights, though I could have changed plans sooner. The older gentleman who runs the place kindly waited up for me to check in at night. The rooms were spacious and clean, and it stayed quiet overnight without street noise. At 1000 baht a night, it's a good budget option. I enjoyed my stay.

It's a quiet spot, so having a moped is pretty normal around here. Once you have transport, everything is easy to get to. Rawai beach, with plenty of restaurants and bars, is a 5-minute drive. AKA is also 5 minutes away, Kata about 15 and Patong around 30. The rooms are large and very clean, with useful little touches like plates and cutlery. A good fit if you're going to AKA or one of the other nearby gyms, and I'd be fine staying here for three weeks or longer.
